I have pursued my passion for drawing and painting for a major part of my life. I use a variety of media to create environments with people and places that capture my imagination. Generally, I use charcoal or graphite to develop my sketches, then enliven their personality with color and light on paper or canvas.

The drawings and paintings offered here are in a variety of media: graphite, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, oils, or a combination of media. They are a sampling of a variety of subjects that inspire me: Images of Africa, the Essence of Youth, dance and music.

I am deeply committed to the process of creating art that reflects my roots and that respectfully represents culture and humanity.
